Description
English: Diagram showing data forwarding in a microprocessor. In this case, the instructions are something like the following:
LDB adr   -> r10

AND r10,3 -> r11
Thus, the data can be forwarded from the output of the first instructions' MEM stage to the input of the next's EX stage (green line). However, the dat doesn't arrive at the output of the first's MEM until after the first reaches EX. This is backward in time, and is not possible.
