Deutsch: In der christlichen Ikonografie steht ein solches Lamm, das eine Fahne mit einem roten Kreuz trägt, für das "Lamm Gottes"und damit für Jesus Christus, dessen Opfer (in der Tradition des Passahfestes, bei dem Lämmer als Sühneopfer dargebracht wurden) die Schuld der Menschheit auf sich vereint und diese dadurch erlöst. Die auf dem Bild zu sehende Darstellung stammt aus dem Deckengemälde über dem Altarraum der Christuskirche in Wernigerode. |
