Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The image illustrates metastases of primary intestinal tumor at the level of the brain: the classic intestinal villi, usually present in the intestinal mucosa, are easily observed.

We speak, therefore, of Metastatic Tumor of the Brain, or a metastasis that is formed inside the brain. The tissue that composes it, however, is not formed by mutated cells of the Central Nervous System, but by cells that have arrived through the circulatory system, in that particular site, from the primary intestinal tumor present in the organism.

The wonder of the colors of the haematoxylin-Eosin stain, through which the sample was colored, highlights the intestinal villi. These, being covered by epithelial cells, take the classic purple color of Haematoxylin, which being a basic dye colors the nucleus of each epithelial cell with violet, giving an almost floral effect of the villus.
