עברית: "אתה המלך רואה היית והנה צלם אחד גדול ורם עומד לנגדך, ומראהו נורא מאד. הצלם ההוא – ראשו זהב טוב, חזהו וזרועותיו כסף, בטנו נחושת, שוקיו ברזל, ורגליו – מהן ברזל ומהן חרס. רואה היית עד אשר נגזרה אבן, ולא בידיים. ותך את הצלם על רגליו... ותרסק אותן. ויתרסקו הברזל, החרס, הנחושת, הכסף והזהב, ויהיו כמוץ מגורן, וישא אותם הרוח, וכל מקום לא נמצא להם. והאבן אשר הכתה את הצלם היתה להר גרול ותמלא את הארץ."
