Summary[edit]

Description
English: Gus S. Wortham Memorial Fountain along Allen Parkway near Waugh has been dubbed the Dandelion. It was designed by William Cannady in 1978 based on the original 1961 El Alamein Memorial Fountain in Sydney, Australia by NZ born Australian architect Robert Woodward. I should mention that the Dandelion fountain here in Houston was commissioned to William Cannady after the Worthams seen the fountain in Kings Cross, Sydney.
