Owen Beach is a part of the Pt. Defiance Park, it is located on the eastern shore of the park looking towards the Dalco Passage, Commencement Bay, with views of Vashon Island and Dash Point. Pt. Defiance is a huge MetroParks area, set on a jaunting peninsula on the north end of Tacoma, WA. The area contains a world-class Zoo & Aquarium, replica Military Fort, Logging exhibits, miles of walking trails and picnic spots, view points, duck ponds, Oriental gardens and community areas. Situated within a nature preserve of old growth forest.
