| Description |
First a small history lesson. Us old-timers who have been visiting Monterey for decades will recall that this building used to be known as the Tinnery. (I can always remember Tinnery and yet to remember Lattitudes; in my PDA, I list it still as the Tinnery) Under the post-Tinnery management, the building has been updated with a new look and feel. The upgraded menu is far better than the Tinnery. The menu is rich in variety ranging from a few Asian dishes (over Jasmine rice) to a good old all-American steak. I found the service to be nice, friendly, professional and efficient. The food was great! You know things are going to be nice when the hot bread comes out with a nice oil and vinegar treat. OK, it is more expensive than the Tinnery. But, I found there to be good value in the food for the price. Yes, I will return in the future. Oh, did I mention they have a stunning view from the windows of Monterey Bay? |
