In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in September 1965, the LBJ Presidential Library’s Future Forum hosted an in-depth discussion of Austin housing issues on Thursday evening, Sept. 24, 2015. The panelists were Mandy De Mayo, Executive Director of HousingWorks Austin; Parisa Fatehi-Weeks, Community Impact Manager, Google Fiber; Michael Gerber, President/CEO, Housing Authority of the City of Austin; and Sherri Greenberg, LBJ School of Public Affairs Fellow in State and Local Government.
