Object history | Die Bilder des Wappens erinnern daran, dass die Geschichte des Gemeindegebietes bis in das 19. Jahrhundert von verschiedenen Hofmarken und Landsassengütern geprägt wurde. Die heutige Gemeinde Ursensollen wurde 1971/72 durch Eingliederung der Gemeinden Haag, Hohenkemnath, Ullersberg, Zant, Teilen der Gemeinden Garsdorf, Hausen, Thonhausen, Winkl, Wolfsfeld gebildet; 1978 kamen noch vier Ortschaften dazu. Die wichtigsten Hofmarken waren Ursensollen und Hohenkemnath. Das obere Feld mit dem Schrägbalken in Schwarz und Silber ist dem Familienwappen der Herren von Kemnath zu Hohenkemnath entnommen, die seit 1267 belegt sind; sie hatten die Hofmark bis Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts in Besitz. Das untere Feld mit der Spaltung in Silber und Blau entspricht dem Familienwappen der Scharfenberger, die von der zweiten Hälfte des 14. bis zur Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts Herrschaftsrechte in der Hofmark Ursensollen ausübten; der Minnesänger Albrecht von Scharfenberg entstammte dieser Familie. | ||||
