Object history |
Deutsch: Der blaue Wellenbalken, ein heraldisches Flusssymbol, steht für die Isar und den vor der Gründung Münchens (1158) bedeutenden Flussübergang der Föhringer Brücke. Der rot gekrönte Mohrenkopf ist aus dem Freisinger Hochstiftswappen übernommen. Unterföhring gehörte bis zur Säkularisation 1803 zur reichsunmittelbaren Grafschaft Ismaning des Fürstbischofs von Freising. Die Ziegelsteine verweisen auf die großen Ziegeleien in Unterföhring, die über Jahrhunderte das Baumaterial für die nahe Landeshauptstadt lieferten und von großer wirtschaftlicher Bedeutung waren. Nach Erschöpfung der Lehmvorkommen wurde die letzte Ziegelei 1968 stillgelegt. |
