Object history Das seit 1963 gebrauchte Gemeindewappen versinnbildlicht die Ortsgeschichte. Eine stark stilisierte zweitürmige Burg weist auf die Herren von Welden als Lehensträger hin, das Rodungsbeil auf den Ortsnamen. Die Kette ist das Attribut des Kirchenpatrons, des Hl. Leonhard. Die Hauptfarben Silber/Rot versinnbildlichen die einstige Landeshoheit des Hochstifts.
