Object history
Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen wurde am 18. März 1939 von damaligen Reichsstatthalter in Württemberg verliehen. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg hat der Gemeinderat dieses Wappen am 20. April 1956 bestätigt und zugleich die Flaggenfarben festgelegt. Die Verleihung der Flagge durch das Landratsamt Reutlingen kam jedoch erst am 7. Juni 1982 zustande. Die beiden Rosse im Wappen sollen auf den Gemeindenamen hinweisen, der sich vielleicht von „Mähre" = Ross herleiten lässt.
