Deutsch: Das von Ulf-Dietrich Korn entworfene Wappen wurde am 26. Juli 1960 vom Regierungspräsidenten in Aurich genehmigt. Der Fisch erinnert an den Fischereihafen Norddeich und der Blitz an die frühere Sendestelle für den Seefunkdienst „Norddeich Radio".
