Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Lette, seit 1970 Stadtteil von Oelde: „In Grün ein rechtsschräger silberner (weißer) Schlagbaum.“ Das Wappen wurde am 17. November 1936 durch das preußische Staatsministerium verliehen. Der Schlagbaum bezieht sich auf die Herkunft des Wortes "Lette" aus dem Altsächsischen und bedeutet "Zaun". Die Farben sind die des Amtes Herzebrock, zu dem die Gemeinde gehörte.“
English: „Vert, a bendy barrier Argent.“ The arms were granted on November 17, 1936. The arms are based on the etymology of the name, which is derived from the old-Saxon 'lettian', meaning fence. The colours are those of the Amt Herzebrock to which the municipality belonged.
