Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Bauerschaft Haarzopf, seit 1915 Stadtteil von Essen: „Geteilt in Silber (Weiß) und Rot, oben zwei rote einwärts gekehrte Hirschstangen; unten ein silberner (weißer) Wellenbalken.“ Das Wappen wurde von Kurt Schweder entworfen und hatte nie offiziellen Charakter. Ende der 1980er Jahre schuf der Heraldiker für alle Essener Stadtteile Wappen. Sie sind inzwischen von der Essener Bevölkerung gut angenommen worden. Das Wappen ist ein sogenanntes "redendes Wappen"; die Hirschstangen und der Wellenbalken spielen auf den alten Namen "Hartzapen" bzw. Harttappe" an, welches "Hirschbach" bedeutet.English: „Party Argent per fess gules; above two inward turned antlers gules and below one fess wavy Argent.“
The arms were drawn by Kurt Schweder who designed coats of arms for all districts of Essen in die 1980s; they were never official used, but meanwhile recognized by the citizens of Essen and its districts. The arms are canting; the antlers and the fess wavy stand for "Hirschbach" derived from the old names from Haarzopf "Hartzapen" or Harttappe". |
