Object history Das Wappen versinnbildlicht im Schrägwellenbalken den Talbach, es gibt oben die den Ort und das Tal beherrschende Sprengelburg mit Resten aus gotischer Zeit wieder und verweist unten auf die Steinindustrie in Eßweiler. Das Wappen ersetzt das von Hupp eingeführte und tingierte, das angeblich einer älteren Siegelvorlage folgt.
