Deutsch: Wappen des ehemaligen Amtes Rhynern, seit 1975 Stadtteil von Hamm: „Gespalten von Gold (Gelb) und Blau; vorne eine aufrechte blaue Axt, hinten eine goldene (gelbe) Sturmflagge (Hochformatsflagge), in der Mitte des Tuches, ein in drei Reihen je vierfach geteilter in Rot und Silber (Weiß) geschachter Balken.“

Der geschachte Balken erinnert an die Zugehörigkeit zur Grafschaft Mark. Die Axt ist einem Wappen von 1411 eines Rhynerner Richters entlehnt.

English: „Per pale Or a upright axe azure and azure a flag Or charged with a fess chequy gules and Argent of three.“ Verliehen am 30. November, 1936. The arms were officially granted on November 30, 1936. The axe in the arms is derived from a seal from 1411 from a judge of the court of Rhynern. The banner is the banner of the Counts of the Mark, to which the area historically belonged.
