Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Amelsbüren, seit 1975 Stadtteil von Münster (Westfalen): „In Grün ein linksschräger silberner (weißer) Pfeil, begleitet oben und unten von je einer aufrecht stehenden silbernen (weißen) Eichel.“ Das vom Innenminister des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen am 28. Oktober 1965 verliehene Wappen zeigt das Attribut des heiligen Sebastian, Schutzpatron des Ortes sowie die Eicheln, welche sich auf den Davert, einem großen Waldgebiet der Gemeinde, beziehen
English: „Vert, a left inclined arrow Argent, accompanied from two standing acorns Argent one above and one below.“ The arms were officially granted on October 28, 1965. The arrow is the symbol of St. Sebastian, the local patron saint. The green colour and the two acorns refer to the Davert forest area in the municipality.
