Description
English: A worn and corroded Roman copper-alloy coin. Contemporary copy of a dupondius of Claudius (AD 41-54) with Ceres seated left on the reverse. 27.3 mm diameter, 3.5 mm thick, 8.53 grams. Class: Copy of BMC 136. Most bronze coins prior to AD 64 were contemporary copies of Claudian bronze coins (especially the Minerva As issues) apparently struck at legionary fortresses.
