Summary[edit]

Description 330-CFD-DD-SD-00-00749: Operation Restore Hope, December 9, 1992 to May 4, 1993. A US Marine Cadillac Gage Light Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle with two US Marine on the vehicle. The Marine on the front of the vehicle look through a pair of binoculars while the other Marine mans the M60 machine gun mounted on the vehicle's turret. At the left of the frame is a High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) with two Marines. One stands next to the right front fender and the other mans the M60 machine gun mounted on top of the vehicle. The Marine stand perimeter watch at the recently seized weapons cantonment of Somali Warlord General Aideed. This mission is in direct support of Operation Restore Hope, 1/1/1992. PH2 Carmen Yebba. (OPA-NARA II=8/17/2015).
