Home of the 1937 Düsseldorf Exhibition "Schaffendes Volk" - Creative People. - Sculpted horse at the entrance. Sculptor Edwin Scharff.This is the right hand horse and horsman which was still unfinished at the start and throughout the course of the exhibition.In fact it was left in a state of little more than roughtly hewn blocks of granite until 1940. The other one of the pair was in a much greater state of completeness. Cost- 120.000 Reichsmarks. |
