Description

Lors de la construction en 1898 du réseau métropolitain , un concours est lancé pour la décoration des entrées de stations de métro.

Hector Guimard (1867-1942) participe à ce concours et va construire de nombreux édicules pour les stations existantes (lignes 1 à 6).

Sur la photographie, on voit des détails de la station Palais-Royal sur la ligne 1.

Ils seront terminées en Février 1900 soit 6 mois avant l'ouverture du métro (Juillet 1900).
