Polski: Szkic do obrazu przedstawiającego polskich malarzy scen batalistycznych, tworzących od końca XVIII do lat 20. XX wieku. Na obrazie przedstawieni są m.in.: Aleksander Orłowski (we wschodnim stroju), January Suchodolski, Piotr Michałowski (obaj w mundurach napoleońskich), Józef Brandt (w stroju Kozaka), Maksymilian Gierymski (w rokokowym kostiumie nawiązującym do przedstawianych przez malarza scen polowań), Juliusz Kossak, Józef Chełmoński (powożący zaprzęgiem), Alfred Wierusz Kowalski, Wojciech Kossak. Wizerunek samego autora, Czesława Tańskiego, widnieje w lewym dolnym rogu obrazu, w pozie obserwatora kawalkady. Na dole obrazu biegnie napis z nazwiskami przedstawionych malarzy: J. CHEŁMOŃSKI; J.
