Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cycladic krater. On the body is Apollo returning to Delos from Hyperborea with his kitara and two maidens on a chariot drawn by winged horses. Apollo is welcomed by his sister Artemis. On the neck of the krater are two warriors fighting, most probably Achilles with Memnon. 640 BC, created at a Parian workshop. National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
