| Description |
Français : Salle du puits de la crypte de l'abbatiale Saint-Pierre de Mozac, dans les deux premières chapelles de l'ancien martyrium détruit au XVe siècle et réutilisé comme caveau des moines en 1616. Époque carolingienne. Comblée après les tremblements de terre de la moitié du XVe siècle qui ont conduit à l'écroulement du clocher et du chevet supérieur. Redécouverte et restaurée en 1849 par l'architecte diocésain Aymon Mallay. La margelle du puits a été édifiée par le Club historique mozacois dans les années 1990 et la grille de sécurité posée en 2018. Le puits se trouvait dans la chapelle centrale du martyrium dans l'axe est-ouest et précisément au centre de la largeur de la crypte. Il est toujours alimenté en eau de manière naturelle par la nappe phréatique. |
