English: Italy, Marina Militare. The minehunter Crotone was the fifth vessel of Lerici class to be built. It was launched on September 8, 1992 and completed on June 18, 1994. She took part in various NATO clearing operations in the Adriatic Sea; in 2002 participated in a training campaign in Northern Europe reaching Tallin. In 2008 participated in the SNMCMG2 covering 7,983 miles while in 2009 sailed between Greece and Turkey. From May 28, 2013 the vessel is part of the NATO Standing Naval Force Maritime Counter Mesure Mine Group 2. |
