Description

Recently bought a cute little Crate Profiler Model 5 amp to practice with. It puts out 5 watts (plenty for an apartment) and has reverb, flange and delay effects too. The coolest thing is that it has models of several amps, from old "tweed" tube amps to hair band/metal style amps, and a USB socket! I had a Crate G40 stereo amp with 8-inch speakers 20 years ago, and loved it too.

I was really surprised to find the tweed tube amp models sound fairly good for a solid state amp. (I'm still gonna build a real tube amp very soon though)

It has two 4-inch speakers, does this stereo DSP thing, and can also run on 6 AA batteries. And the reverb sounds pretty good for not having a normal spring "reverb tank".. Reverb is not common in small amps like this.
