| Description |
English: The iShares tent, in Queens Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight, along the seafront. This photo was taken from Egypt Hill, at the junction with Queens Road. It is seen during Cowes Week in 2009. During the 2009 event, the tent was set up as part of the iShares cup race that was held in Cowes the day before Cowes Week officially began. In previous years, Queens Road was two way up to the junction of Mornington Road. However, with the iShares tent, the road was reduced to single track (due to the tent and barriers) for a considerable distance around a blind bend at this point, so it was made one way all the way along. Some people did ignore this however. |
