Description
English: Image of right hand, showing the specific parts: extenseurs, cubital postérieur, semi-lunaire, apophyse styloïde du cubitus, muscles fléchisseurs superficels et profonds, cubital antérieur, nerf médian, long extenseur du pouce, radiaux, court abdcuteur du ponce, scaphoïde, tendon du long supinateur, artère radiale, tendon du muscle grand palmaire, tendon du muscle petit palmaire. Issued in seven installments by the flamboyant Parisian surgeon Eugène-Louis Doyen (1859-1916), this atlas of 279 "heliotyped" photographic plates of cross-sectioned bodies was a radical departure from past practice.
