...Si nous prenons deux travées de la sainte Chapelle de Paris, nous voyons (fig. 5) que les axes des contre-forts étant donnés en a, b, c, ac étant pris comme base, on a élevé le triangle équilatéral ace, qui a donné le niveau du bandeau d'appui des fenêtres. Les côtés prolongés de ce triangle, établi sur chaque travée ont donné une suite de losanges à 60º et toutes les hauteurs; celles des naissances et clefs des arcs des fenêtres, celle de la corniche g supérieure, celle h des pinacles...
