Birmingham City Council House is in Victoria Square, Birmingham and is Grade II* listed. It is home to the largest Local Authority in the UK (Birmingham City Council). It shares part of its building with the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (in Chamberlain Square). In the late 19th century the council had to choose between architects Martin & Chamberlain (gothic) or Yeoville Thomason (classical). They chose Thomason. Council House Extension - Heritage Gateway |
