Description
English: Schematic drawing of the two basic types of cleavage: continuous and spaced. Spaced cleavages consist of cleavage domains and microlithons. The cleavage domains are the dark lines and the the microlithons are the spaces between. Note the disjunctive cleavage has a random orientation of mineral grains and the continuous cleavage has a preferred orientation.
