Summary[edit]
DescriptionCompsognathus longpipes Paleomania.jpg |
Compsognathus longpipes had a lizard for lunch, then something fatal took place. There are several natural ways for this intact chicken-sized dinosaur to end up as a well-preserved fossil with a scattering of bones from its digestive tract. Please add any answer to the riddle in the comments below. The question is "What Happened?" I'll start by guessing that the lizard for lunch happened to be the grenade-packing GI Joe of its species. C. longpipes from the late Jurassic in what is now Germany, is the first reasonably complete dinosaur ever found, collected in Bavaria in the 1850s. Part of a fabulous touring fossil collection seen at Dynamic Earth in Sudbury Ontario, summer 2017. Paleomania is the Great Travelling Fossil Collection from the International Museum Institute of New York. sites.google.com/site/iminytravellingexhibits/ |
