Summary[edit]

Description

This is steam-powered rotary snowplow used by the Colorado & Southern Railway from 1899 to 1965 to clear snow and ice from rail lines in mountainous regions. Snowplows were the lead units of plow trains and would be pushed by locomotives.

From 1972 to the present, this snowplow has been part of the Colorado Railroad Museum collection in Golden, Colorado, USA.
