Description

Un trapero recoge los materiales que le sirven de los escombros que los vecinos de la Arenal dejan en la calle. Los pedazos de muebles arruinados, basura y demás cacharros se acumulan en las esquinas esperando a que los recoja el personal de limpia o la gente que los junta y vende.

En Febrero de 2010 la Colonia Arenal, al oriente del Distrito Federal sufrió una de las inundaciones más severas que se hayan registrado en esta zona. Provocada por la lluvia intensa, la inundación tomó por sorpresa al GDF. El agua arruinó muchas propiedades y el gobierno tuvo que hacerse cargo de muchos de los gastos. Envió brigadas masivas de limpieza -- con unidades Vactor y cientos de personas ayudando en la límpia de cada una de las calles-- , atención médica y ayuda humanitaria que lograron evitar consecuencias severas a la salud de los habitantes de la Colonia.

Una lección para no olvidar.
