Summary[edit]

Description The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District reached a milestone at the Folsom Dam auxiliary spillway project Jan. 27, 2016, as water is now against the new auxiliary dam. Crews pumped about 51 million gallons of water from the lake into the approach channel during a 24-hour period, allowing the Corps to begin removing the temporary construction cofferdam. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2017.
