English: The U.S. Coast Guard received the Judge’s Special Award for the team’s cold food table during the 37th Military Culinary Arts Competition held at Fort Lee, Va., Feb. 27 – March 9. Every team competing for the overall Installation of the Year category must prepare a cold food buffet table. The table must have a minimum of seven mandatory entries, all with a common theme showcasing the team’s ability to work together and produce a work of culinary art. Included in the seven mandatory entries are hors d’ oeuvres, plated appetizers, plated desserts, three course meals and dessert platters. |
