Lo stemma della Marina Mercantile è composto da uno scudo diviso in quattro quarti, ognuno dei quali occupato dal blasone di una delle Repubbliche marinare (Amalfi, Genova, Pisa e Venezia): nel primo quarto, su sfondo rosso, il leone alato simbolo di san Marco con il libro aperto, nel secondo quarto la croce rossa su fondo bianco di Genova, nel terzo quarto la croce bianca su fondo blu di Amalfi e, nell'ultimo quarto, la croce bianca su fondo rosso simbolo di Pisa.
