| Description |
English: Original caption: This is the arm of my stereo turntable. I have one not because it is current & cool but because I have had one since the days when it was vinyl or nothing.
Comment: Revolver was (and is) a British manufacturer of middle-of-the-line turntables and speakers. The original company was founded by Colin and Wyn Higham in 1979 and made itself known for its turntables (one of which is shown here). In the 1990s, as Colin was no longer able to run the business, it quickly fell apart. In 2002 the brand was acquired by Mike Jewitt (ex Heybrook Hi Fi) and Charles Greenlees (ex JPW Loudspeakers) and since then is mostly a loudspeaker business [1]. |
