Summary[edit]

Description
English: Much of the ground on Mars contains ice. When ice leaves (by sublimation into thin atmosphere) the ground collapses and thereby forms many shapes. This image was named HiRISE picture of the day on May 21, 2019. Narrow ridges were made when the hollows grew larger and larger. Original image was modified using the HiView program.
