Summary[edit]

Description This red-brick Italianate-style building is on the portion of Clifton Avenue that is at the beginning of the climb up to Clifton Heights and the University of Cincinnati. Constructed in the late 19th Century, it has been well-maintained, preserved, and seemingly restored, and is a bright spot in an area of similar but largely vacant and rundown buildings. The lot next door also tells of a long-lost neighbor to this building, the victim of urban decay and neglect in the 20th Century. The white building behind the vacant lot, though appearing to have been renovated with a large glass window added to the top floor just under the roof, is in need of some largely cosmetic repairs to the exterior, but appears to be in decently habitable shape otherwise.
