Description
English: Picture of about 1900: Frontal view of Clementine Kinderhospital in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany, founded by Louise Freifrau von Rothschild (1820–1894) to honour her belated daughter Clementine.
Deutsch: Foto um 1900: Frontansicht des Clementine Kinderhospitals in Frankfurt am Main, gegründet durch die Stifterin Louise Freifrau von Rothschild (1820–1894) im Andenken an ihre verstorbene Tochter Clementine. Das Clementine Kinderhospital (Architekten: Alfred Friedrich Bluntschli und Carl Jonas Mylius) stand seit 1875 auf einem 10.000 m2 großen Grundstück mit Parkanlage an der Bornheimer Landwehr 110, hieß bis 1899 Clementine Mädchenspital, wurde 1899 um das Doppelte vergrößert und nahm seitdem auch Knaben auf. Das Gebäude wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört, das Areal nach dem Krieg von der Stiftung an die Stadt veräußert.
