Rideau Hall, which is situated in a handsome park,is the residence of the Governor-General of Canada. The FederalGovernment in Ottawa gives employment to over 6,000 people, anddistributes more than $6,000,000 annually in salaries—an assetenjoyed by no other city in Canada.
