English: Offered for sale by Abbott and Holder in September 2020, when it was described as "Portrait of a man smoking a chibouk. Pencil and watercolour. Circa 1830. Signed. Provenance: The Newall Collection, Christies, 13, 14 December 1979, Album, lot 249. We are grateful to Pieter van der Merwve for confirming the Hand. 9x7.75 inches.".
