| Description |
English: Clapper stile on the Boldron Well walk. Returning to Boldron from Athelstan's well 1640112, the footpath crosses this field boundary through a clapper stile made of two slabs of rock with a narrow gap. It's an easy stile to cross on skis, when the ground is both frozen and snow-covered, but concentrates traffic to one spot which gets very muddy in a thaw - even the dog is a bit reluctant to splash on through ! |
