Nederlands: Een cirkel heeft 1 punt meer dan een lijn.
De lijnen LM en NO zijn evenwijdig. Een lijn door punt A en B staat loodrecht op de lijnen LM en NO. Een lijn startende in punt B door punt A snijdt de lijn NO in een punt die we "0" noemen. Alle lijnen startende in B die door de linker zijde van de cirkel worden getekend en geprojecteerd worden op de lijn NO zijn negatief. De lijn BX projecteert het punt X' op de lijn NO. De waarde van X'is dus negatief. Alle lijnen startende in B die door de rechter zijde van de cirkel worden getekend en geprojecteerd worden op de lijn NO zijn positief. De lijn BY projecteert het punt Y' op de lijn NO. De waarde van Y' is dus positief. Het enige punt op de cirkel die niet op een lijn kan worden afgebeeld is het punt B. Er bestaat namelijk geen lijn startende in B door B die tot een punt B' op de lijn NO leidt. De getallenlijn die zo geconstrueerd wordt op de lijn NO heeft dus 1 punt minder dan de cirkel (punt B). |
