Summary[edit]

Description
Circle of fifths
Dozenal clock

The 12 sets of keys (i.e. pairs of relative scales) in the circle of fifths

There are two pairs of white keys on the keyboard: 3/4 (usually B/C) and 8/9 (usually E/F)
An important characteristic of a scale is which key from each pair is in it:
The ♭ scales on the left (1♭-5♭) contain the tones 4 and 9 (C and F), i. e. the right tone from each pair.
The ♯ scales on the right (1♯-5♯) contain the tones 3 and 8 (B and E), i.e. the left tone from each pair.
The scales with 0 and 6 accidentals in the middle are the only ones that contain both 3 and 9 (B/F for 0 accidentals, B/E♯ for 6♯, C♭/F for 6♭).

The inner ring shows the re of each scale as a dozenal number.
Those on a circle are in the position the number has on a clock. Those on hexagons are in the opposite position.
