Description
Español: Cipriano Castro, y su Compadre Juan Vicente Gómez, junto a los hombres que hacia pocas horas, habían librado la batalla de Tocuyito, la cual le abrió las puertas de Valencia. Esta gesta se libró entre el 14 y el 15 de septiembre de 1899, cerca del pueblo de Tocuyito. Cinco horas duró el combate. Más de 500 muertos generó el enfrentamiento, entre ellos Miguelón, uno de los mejores soldados de la Revolución Liberal Restauradora, el puente que tendió Castro para abrazar el poder central.
