English: Church of Saint Mary the Virgin Warbleton. The 13th century Warbleton Church is built on a neolithic mound.According to an old legend the church was to have been built two miles away. As fast however as the stones were assembled there by day, teams of ghostly white oxen removed them by night to this ancient site. |
