Description
English: Christmas Party For Trooper Devereux's Daughter- Christmas in Wartime, Pinner, Middlesex, December 1944
Mrs Devereux and her 12 year old daughter Jean sit quietly together beside the Christmas tree to read a book before bedtime after a small Christmas party at their home in Pinner. The tree is a present from her husband, currently serving in the army overseas, which has been purchased through the 'Gifts to Home League' of the YMCA. The book they are looking at is 'Mary Plain in Wartime', one of Jean's presents. Jean is still wearing her paper party hat.
